From the Waxahachie Mountain Bike Club Trail steward:
“The Hachie Trail was built by Waxahachie Mountain Bike Club. The public portion of the trail is beginner level to encourage others to ride. It is a 4.6 mile trail that winds along Waxahachie Creek to Lyons Park. There are three private property trails that are just above beginner skill level. WMBC no longer maintains the public trail, only private sections which make up an additional 5.2 miles. All together, its a 9.8 mile, one way excursion. It is one way on public land and loops on private properties.”
The Hachie Trail is an out and back singletrack that parallels the paved hike and bike path that runs along Waxahachie Creek. This portion is on city owned public lands. There are currently at least three loops that break off into private property from the main trail. These portions of the trail are maintained by the Waxahachie Mountain Bike Club.
It appears additional loops are in the works to be opened in the future. These trails appear to be planned on private land.
