Trail Description
The Wee-Chi-Tah Off-Road Trail system in Wichita Falls, TX features approximately 12 to 13 miles of high-quality, intermediate-level singletrack. There are many man-made obstacles, punchy climbs, and switchbacks. There are two main trailheads located at 502 Wichita St, or at the Texas Tourist Center on Central Freeway. There are also a few points of access near street crossings.
The trail is one large loop broken into four main segments. Watch out for the ribbons attached to trees and keep them on your right as you ride the trail. The Camp Fillers section runs backward on Wednesday, and is the only gated section of the trail
You’ll find many man-made bridges, including one that takes you 10 feet off the ground and up into the trees, but there is a bypass for this feature. There are also regular bypasses for many features along the trail.
The Wee-Chi-Tah trail is home to the Hotter N Hell 100 Triple Threat and Mountain Bike Race.
