Trail Description
Knob Hills trail is a stacked loop system that features just over 13 miles of singletrack in Flower Mound, TX. It skirts along the edge of Denton Creek as it flows toward Grapevine Lake. The trail is an intermediate trail with a good variety of terrain types and technical features throughout. You’ll find big rocks, loose rocks and gravel, switchbacks, rollers, descents, punchy/techy climbs, and the famous Goat Killer.
When parking, use the main parking area just off the east side of Highway 377, south of FM 1171. Do not park on the east end of the trail on Pocahontas RD because it is a private road and you will be towed. Also, do not park at the parking area at the Cross Timbers trailhead at the end of Durham RD. This parking lot is not for bicycle access, so please do not park and ride from there.
The main trailhead is marked with a gate and signage. Please do not park in from of the swinging gate.
